DevBlog#10 Going further with my game “From Hell”


Hi everyone,

This week’s blog will be more as an update post. After last week and major re-design, I have been very happy with direction my game is taking. Now that the game feels with more depth and with it’s hellish theme, it will definitively look much cooler. Here is the level design mockup:

Another thing that I already begun and have planned for further development are weapons. Currently plan is that the game will have 3 tiers of weapons:

  1. Tier – Common. Color of weapons – bronze. Material – iron. Example weapons-Kris sword from my last blog or-sickle(tool adjusted for fighting – low hit points when dealing damage):
  2. Tier – Warrior. Color of weapons – silver. Material – steel. More solid combat weapons with higher hit points.
  3. Tier – Legendary. Here will be rare weapons that can be obtained by killing bosses in game or by completing achievements.


    Inspiration for Legendary tier comes from suggestion made by one of my awesome Discord server’s followers! It was suggested to create something similar to Crucible from (yes, you guessed it) Doom! That one is definitively on my To-Do list!
