DevBlog #13 Getting an upgrade and brushing up my logo

Hi everyone,

This will be a short blog, mainly due to my PC being upgraded (to handle Unity : ) ).

When it comes to game development or any sort of project development, it is important to have the right tools with you at the right time. Naturally, if you want to develop something on your computer, let’s say a software, you need your PC to be running smoothly. If not, part of your time will be spent getting it to work, or, getting your so much needed apps to work.

Lately I got really frustrated about how my PC is handling the tools I need to develop my game From Hell. Especially Unity. Not because of the Unity itself of course, but because of low specs that my computer has. Opening the project, working with it, changing code and waiting for it to be updated back in the Unity was taking away precious minutes that I had during the day planned for game development. Additionally, I use Visual Studio for changing the code, so that was another RAM eating software that slowed everything down even more. I calculated that everyday this takes up about 25 minutes total of all the time I have, which usually is 2 hours. That’s almost about 1/4 of the time spent just doing technical things, unrelated really to the development of the game itself.

So now, while I’m waiting for my RAM to be delivered so I can install it, I am brushing up my logo! Here is the first draft of it:
